The James A Baker III Institute for Public Policy, an integral part of Rice University in the USA, is a non-partisan organization focusing on the study, formulation, execution, and criticism of public policy.
Stem Cell Science and Policy
The Institute has formed collaborations with the Qatar Foundation Research Division, and Institute for Public Policy, to work on the Program on Stem Cell Science and Policy.
Officially launched in 2007, this Program supports Qatar’s goal of developing stem cell research in Qatar and aims to educate the public about stem cell science and its potential for treating illnesses.
The program will establish dialogues with religious scholars and policy makers of Qatar to seek the necessary recommendations and guidelines for promoting safe research practice in the country, according to Islamic values.
