EC THEME WEEKS

Education City theme weeks provide the opportunity for Qatar Foundation and its university partners to collaborate around a topic of mutual interest and significance.  Theme weeks generally include a myriad of programmatic topics and formats that appeal to a broad spectrum of community members.   

International Education Week (IEW) - Fall 2009

This annual international initiative seeks to celebrate the benefits of international education experiences as well as promote understanding of other cultures.  Within Education City, a series of educational activities and events will be sponsored by a planning committee comprised of QF Campus & Residence Life staff members and representatives from each of our university partners and ABP.  This year's IEW will be held Sunday, November 15 through Thursday, November 20.  A detailed schedule of the week's events will be available November 1st. 

Arts Week - Spring 2010

Arts week is sponsored by the Education City Activities & Events Committee, which includes representation from QF Campus Life as well as all of the branch campuses and ABP.  The goal of this theme week is to promote participation in and enjoyment of the arts.  Various activities and events will be sponsored throughout the week that highlight the talents of Education City students, faculty, and staff as well as share the unique artistic gifts of Qatar and visiting professionals.  A complete schedule of Arts Week events will be available in January 2010.
