ACADEMIC BRIDGE PROGRAM

The Academic Bridge Program (ABP) is a post-secondary school program that helps students in the transition from high school to university.

The ABP's mission is to provide top graduates of high schools in Qatar and elsewhere in the region with the academic and personal skills needed for success in high-quality English-language university programs, particularly the universities in Qatar Foundation's Education City.  Many of the students who have completed the Program in previous years are currently enrolled in these universities.

Among the subjects included in the curriculum are English (EFL), science, mathematics, computers and multi-media skills. The courses also help students develop the computer skills and study habits that will ensure their success once they are enrolled at university.

The ABP was also a pioneer in the region in providing a coeducational opportunity for young men and women.

Students benefit from the many educational resources available at Education City and have opportunities to participate in a wide variety of clubs and activities, such as debating, journalism, the Model United Nations, art and photography, athletic competitions and field trips.
