One of the Qatar Foundation's strategic objectives is to create synergies across the Foundation initiatives to optimize the talents of people and the use of resources. To facilitate the accomplishment of this objective, the Foundation is implementing a shared services strategy. Included within the shared services strategy is the finance function.Fundamental to this strategy, the Finance Department operates as an effective business unit. To operate as a business unit, the Finance Department thinks like a business unit and adopts the business culture of a service provider.
To be recognized by the Qatar Foundation and the Education City community for leadership and excellence in providing financial services, and as a true partner in supporting the accomplishment of the corporate and shared services units' respective missions.
The mission of the Finance Department is to provide quality financial services to our customers, including the Qatar Foundation and Education City community, in fulfillment of the Foundation's mission. The mission will be accomplished within the standards of best business practices, in compliance with policies governing the Foundation, and through a partnership between the Education City community, QF administrative personnel and the staff of the Finance Department.
The scope of responsibility for Finance includes providing financial services to owned centers, branch campuses/joint ventures and the QF administration. This involves five levels of service provision:
