Qatar Symphony Orchestra (QSO)

Today Qatar Foundation is the most important cultural and civic educational institution of the country and is seen as an example for the whole region. The aim is to face the population with today's challenges of an ever changing world, ruled by the principle, that the biggest possession of a country is the knowledge of his population.

Through its innovative education and research, Qatar is one of the leading countries in this field. Now a new branch is added to the existing faculties, the Qatar Music Academy, which shall lead the way to traditional, Arabic and European Classic music for the young as well as for adults. A new international symphony orchestra will be founded which will bind the European classical music with new Arabic compositions and which will also be an ambassador for Qatar when travelling the world. Members of the orchestra with pedagogical and educational experience can be signed up into the academy as teachers (for a special fee).
