Graduation 2007

The ceremony was conducted by Dr. Hana Kanan, Director of Qatar Academy and Dr Abdulla Al Thani Vice President-Education for Qatar Foundation. The guest speaker was Ms Dixie McKay, Chief Executive Officer CIS, and the Alumni Speakers were Al Jazi Darwish and Ibrahim Al Derbasti, who themselves graduated from Qatar Academy last year.

The Diplomas were conferred by Qatar Academy's Director, Dr. Hana Kanan. Prizes for the valedictorian, salutatorian, The Principals Award, the CIS Award and the top students in English, Modern Languages, Arabic, Humanities, the Sciences, Math, the Arts, Athletics and Service were presented by the Head of Senior School, Mr Michael Hitchman.

The choir opened the evening and offered a musical interlude during the ceremony.

The students will receive their results from this external examination in early July, and their IB Diplomas will arrive late August.

These students will study all around the world next year, ranging from universities in Doha to others in the Gulf Region U.K. USA Australia and Canada.
