What is The Learning Center?
In our pursuit of excellence we aim to advance the achievement of students with learning challenges by providing the most effective evidence-based practices through partnership with all stakeholders in Qatar and internationally.
The Learning Center (TLC) is an educational program offering instructional services, diagnostic consultation and therapeutic services to students who experience academic difficulties.
The Learning Center School
Established in 1996, TLC expanded its services in 2002 to include The Learning Center School (TLCS), which offers a comprehensive educational program for students in grades 1-12.
Every student has the right to develop his or her potential
TLCS believes that every student has the right to grow and develop to the fullest potential. The mission of TLCS is to provide an educational environment to meet everyone’s needs.
TLCS is the only school of its kind in Qatar, and one of only a handful worldwide dedicated to working with students who have demonstrated aptitude in certain areas while facing academic difficulties in others.
Alternative Education Plan
Each grade level accepts up to just ten students, which creates amore personalized education experience, including one-to-one instruction, enabling students to achieve overall personal excellence. Every student has an Alternative Education Plan (AEP) designed to set goals and measure progress throughout the year.
Teaching is in English and the curriculum includes math, English, social studies, science, Arabic, Islamic studies, art, IT and health and physical education.
